Alyson Steele provides leadership on a variety of cultural heritage projects. Combining a passion for architecture and a lively sense of humor, she has overseen master planning efforts for cultural and educational institutions, working with client, user and community groups to build consensus around project goals and programmatic needs.
“I think Quinn Evans is better than many firms at understanding the value of existing resources,” she observes, “and making the most of them for new expectations, uses and configurations.”
Among her favorite projects, Alyson points to the North Carolina History Center. “We managed a very collaborative process, reclaiming a brownfield site with a state-of-the-art sustainable building that is integrated beautifully into the historic town fabric.”
