Richard JP Renaud, AIA

Richard Renaud provides documentation oversight and coordination for complex and highly technical projects. With a strong background in building systems and materials and skilled in the analysis and renovation of both modern and historic structures, he has also received training in conducting hygrothermal analysis using the WUFI and THERM programs.

Inspired by such icons as Wright and Saarinen, Richard sees the industrial spaces of the 19th and early 20th century as some of the nation’s most underappreciated architectural assets. “Ideally, I think people should see architects not as producing products,” Richard explains, “but rather, as providing a service to form their environment around the way they experience their lives.”

I like to think that every project I do is better than the last, and that my abilities as an architect improve with every project.
