Robert Fink leverages his considerable expertise in design phase issues and the development of construction details in his work at QEA, including the renovation of historic structures as well as new construction projects. In his personal life, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing and watching tennis, traveling and discovering new beers from around the world.
Rob draws inspiration from such giants as Renzo Piano, Louis Kahn and Eero Saarinen, as well as ancient structures, such as the megaliths in western and northern France. Of the many projects on which he has collaborated with, he feels closest to the Kennedy Center Opera House. “Going to a performance is often a grand and joyous event,” he explains, “and I think we helped the space live up to that.”
