This multi-phased project includes a new Court-Police Building and partial renovation of the existing City Hall as well as associated site work to create public plazas and gardens. The high performance, energy efficient new building and sustainable site are designed to achieve LEED Gold certification. Features include solar hot water heating, the capture of all rain water for reuse in irrigation and for a water feature designed by German Sculptor Herbert Dreiseitl. The existing City Hall will remain partially occupied with administration and police operations throughout the project.
A future second phase includes the renovation of the remaining City Hall floors, a new building skin to improve energy efficiency and addition of a new Public Meeting Room.
