QEA led the preservation and design for the comprehensive rehabilitation, repair and upgrades to the National Academies of Science building originally constructed in 1924. The project conserves and preserves the existing building while sensitively incorporating sustainable strategies and technologies. The design seamlessly integrates contemporary systems and engineering infrastructure within the historic fabric of the existing structure.

Construction began in June 2010 and is slated for completion in Spring of 2012.
