The new School of International Service at American University was officially opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, May 14, 2010. Quinn Evans Architects worked as architect-of-record in collaboration with design architect William McDonough + Partners on the new 75,000 square foot building. The new facility was conceived to reflect the principles and mission of the School and creates an environmentally sustainable, energy-efficient building which will achieve a LEED Gold certification from the US Green Buildling Council.
