Our rehabilitation of this historic building in the Calumet Historic District was the National Park Service’s first project to utilize a design/build approach. While the building remained in continuous use, we tuckpointed and restored its fieldstone-and-brick façade and refurbished the original windows. We restored the main entry to its original appearance, added a handicap lift, and made other structural improvements to prepare the building for its rededication as Keweenaw National Historical Park headquarters.
