Home to the Grand Rapids Civic Theatre and School of Theatre Arts, this performing arts complex consists of a ca. 1903, 800-seat theater and three adjacent turn-of-the-century commercial buildings. Working with Tower Pinkster, our renovation vastly improved audience safety, comfort and sightlines, as well as theatrical lighting and acoustics. The building systems upgrades enhanced environmental comfort and efficiency. A reconstructed historic tower and a new theater entrance and lobby addition welcomes patrons while providing generous lobby space, barrier-free accessibility and improved circulation.
