Built in 1904, this historic structure served as the Flint and Pere Marquette Railroad Company’s Bay City station until 1969. Our program restored many of the building’s character-defining features, including the replacement of its clay-tiled roof, dormers and watchtower and reconstruction of the historic perimeter canopy and porte-cochère. The rehabilitated two-story interior provides office space, while the vintage waiting room is now used for public functions. We also helped the owners successfully apply for local and federal historic tax credits and a major grant to supplement restoration funding.
