Quinn Evans is proud to have helped sponsor the first ever Audubon After Dark held last week by the Audubon Naturalist Society, at their 40-acre Woodend Sanctuary in Chevy Chase, Maryland. It was a pleasure to be a part of this event because ANS’s passion for environmental stewardship and education very much aligns with Quinn Evans’ values. They, like we, see a better world. The event provided a terrific opportunity to hear about all the initiatives and programs that this amazing organization has planned for the coming year, like the launch of their new Creek Critters app that introduces users to the organisms that live in freshwater streams. It was great to meet so many of the wonderful people who facilitate and support those programs, and to participate in some interesting conversations about topics as diverse as urban forestry, permaculture, straw bale construction, introducing urban youths to the wonders of nature, and the ageless appeal of LEGO blocks. And there was Rocky the Owl, who perched more or less patiently on the arms of those who wanted to see a bird of prey up close! To see more about the Creek Critters app, see the ANS website here.
