Quinn Evans Architects is pleased to announce that after many twists and turns, construction has finally begun on our latest Kennedy Center project, the comprehensive renovation of the Terrace Theater! The Kennedy Center’s recital hall also hosts a variety of other programming, such as dance, jazz, and drama. To accommodate this wide variety of programming, the new design for this 491-seat theater will feature warm wood paneling and a movable proscenium. A new lower lobby will help provide accessible seating throughout the theater.

QEA is proud that is our fourth major theater renovation at the Kennedy Center, following the Concert Hall (1997), the Opera House (2003), and the Eisenhower Theater (2008). Rand Construction is the construction manager. The Terrace Theater is scheduled to reopen in August 2017.
