Quinn Evans Architects, an award-winning planning and design practice, has added five new staff members in the firm’s Detroit, Mich., office.

Cara Soh, AIA, LEED AP, has been named a senior architect. Alexander Fritz has been named a designer, Lauren Strauss and Sulaymaan Suhrawardy have been named staff designers, and Lindsay Boeckl has been named a marketing coordinator.

 

  • Cara Soh, AIA, LEED AP
  • Senior architect, is an accomplished architect whose experience includes serving on the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission. She holds both Master of Architecture (2001) and Bachelor of Science (1998) degrees from the University of Michigan, as well as a Master of Science in Historic Preservation from Columbia University (2003). Soh is currently leading the renovation and façade restoration of the 125-year-old Crapo Building in Bay City, Michigan.

     
  • Alexander Fritz
  • Designer, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture (2009) from the Lawrence Technological University. His experience includes new construction, renovation, and preservation projects. Fritz is currently working on the adaptive use of the final house in the row defined by Detroit’s celebrated Inn on Ferry Street into a three-unit condominium.

     
  • Lauren Strauss
  • Staff designer, is a year five Challenge Detroit Fellow focusing on community impact projects. She holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon (2016) and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Minnesota (2013). Strauss is currently working on the renovation of the historic Crapo Building in Bay City.

     
  • Sulaymaan Suhrawardy
  • Staff designer, holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Michigan (2016). He is currently supporting Quinn Evans Architects’ project team for the development of Element Detroit, a new hotel within the historic Metropolitan Building in Detroit.

     
  • Lindsay Boeckl
  • Marketing coordinator, holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Ryerson University (2014). Her experience includes graphic design, process mapping, and content editing and curation as well as a focus on organization strategies.
