The renovation of the State Theatre was recently featured in an article by Patrick Dunn, for the Ann Arbor Observer. In the article, State of the State, the author shares excerpts from an interview conducted with Russ Collins, Executive Director and CEO of the Michigan Theater Foundation and Patrick Roach, AIA, Principal at Quinn Evans Architects.

The design-build team of QEA and O’Neal Construction is renovating the venue to create four new state-of-the art theaters and restore the historic mezzanine-level lounge. A beautiful glass-clad addition will house an improved and expanded street level entrance lobby, stairways and escalator, and an elevator which, along with new restrooms and concessions, provides universal accessibility and an exciting and unique movie-going experience.
