In addition to his proven skills as a designer, Mark Merolla contributes a keen knowledge of the latest advances in building envelope technology and performance. He is also proficient in addressing code-related issues, optimizing design through building information modeling, and the development of detailed documentation to support constructability. Mark brings a deep commitment to each project, from the earliest conceptual phases through construction, and strives to foster close collaboration between the design team, contractors, and the client.
Many of Mark’s projects have earned AIA awards at the local and state level. He has completed a diverse range of facilities including schools, higher education STEM buildings and theaters, libraries, and community-based projects both public and private. Having been immersed in the planning and design of 21st-century learning environments for most of his career, Mark has developed a strong working knowledge of educational trends and cutting-edge instructional technology.
