Built in 1946, “The Cary” has become a visible symbol for the community of Cary and is now a catalyst for downtown development. Drawing from extensive venue design experience, our team transformed the drab post-war former movie theater from an auto parts store into a vibrant arts performance center. Through a dramatic renovation and expansion featuring back-of-house support and upgrades to the theatrical lighting and audio-visual systems, The Cary now supports a wide range of programming from movies to live music and theater. Working with artists Lynn Basa and Matt McConnell, we created a dynamic new marquee for the building, establishing the theater’s prominence as the cornerstone of the community.
