Quinn Evans Architects is collaborating with Mount Vernon on a ground-breaking pilot project to guide the future stewardship of the country’s most important historic site.

Through the integration of geographic information systems (GIS) and building information modeling (BIM) in a unified graphic user interface, the Historic Building Information Management (HBIM) tool for George Washington’s plantation and mansion signals a revolution in the conservation and stewardship of historic resources. The three-dimensional model and database provides unprecedented ability to manage and access historical documentation, records, and as-built conditions related to the site, building resources, and the historical artifacts that comprise Mount Vernon’s cultural heritage and significance.
