The Michigan Historic Preservation Network (MHPN) honored fourteen award winners from across the state as part of the 34th Annual MHPN Conference, "Michigan Places Matter." The presentations were made Friday, 16 May at the Michigan Theater of Jackson in Jackson, Michigan. Among the winners, were two building awards by QEA: Elizabeth Lane Oliver Center for the Arts in Frankfort and Fort Gratiot Lighthouse in Port Huron, and cultural landscape award for the McGregor Memorial Conference Center Reflecting Pool and Sculpture at Wayne State University in Detroit. QEA Principal Ilene Tyler, FAIA, FAPT, along with her husband Norman, received a lifetime achievement award.

The Spring 2014 issue of Papyrus Magazine - the publication of the International Association of Museum Facility Administrators - features an article by QEA's Thomas Jester, AIA, FAPT on the renewed underground museum at Franklin Court within Independence National Historical Park. "The Benjamin Franklin Museum - Renewing a Philadelphia Landmark."

The District of Columbia Historic Preservation Office / Office of Planning and the DC Preservation League recognized three Quinn Evans Architects' projects among the total of 11 awards given as part of the Annual Awards for Excellence in Historic Preservation Thursday, May 15 at the Daughters of the American Revolution Constitution Hall. Honored were Yuma Study Center, the Lay Light Restoration at the DAR Reading Room, and the Sherman Building.

Quinn Evans Architects announces the promotion of Ann K. Dilcher, AIA, LEED AP to Principal with the firm. Since joining the firm in 1997, Ms. Dilcher has been an instrumental leader on many library, community use as well as residential design projects and has served as a project manager in the Quinn Evans Architects’ Ann Arbor Office.
