As a leader in QEA’s learning environments practice, Charles is recognized for his creative and integrated projects. His design sensitivity and technical understanding have helped deliver sustainable, inventive, and community-centric environments for lifelong learning.

His wide-ranging skills are ideal for the multi-layered projects he oversees, including ambitious K-12 and higher education facilities for academics, athletics, student life, and the arts.

Committed to a collaborative approach, Charles’ project teams have achieved regional recognition with design awards from the Virginia School Boards Association, Association for Learning Environments and the AIA.

Charles holds a Bachelor of Design and a Master of Architecture from Clemson University. He is a registered architect in Virginia, NCARB certified, and is a LEED-Accredited Professional.
