Kylan Shirley

Kylan’s skills range from design and building information modeling to the expert management of project budgets and schedules. As the son of an architect, he has been immersed in the design and construction fields throughout his life, leading to his deep appreciation for the role of architecture in building stronger communities.

Kylan has designed many libraries and educational facility projects. He is a frequent speaker on trends in the design of libraries and learning environments and serves on the board of a charter school focused on an integrated science and arts education.

Kylan recognizes that the design of a school can help change pedagogies and practices, supporting new methods of teaching and learning. He is passionate about renovation projects that are transformative—not just for the buildings themselves but as catalysts for change.
