McGregor Reflecting Pool & Sculpture Gardens

Heritage
 Project

Our rehabilitation of the McGregor reflecting pool celebrated Minoru Yamasaki’s character-defining details and created a prominent campus centerpiece for students and campus visitors to enjoy. Restoring the pool while improving performance, we reestablished the purity of the original design, ensuring accessibility, functionality, and aesthetic longevity. Utilizing advanced laser scanning technology and recording the precise location and orientation of each landscape element, our team meticulously and precisely managed the deconstructing and reconstructing of each boulder and sculpture ensuring Yamasaki‘s original design intent. Students relish the tranquility of the sculpture gardens and reflecting pool in-between the hustle and bustle of classes, while community members and visitors attend special events and take tours among the prized, historic landmark.
