A Living Landmark

Buffalo Central Terminal

Buffalo Central Terminal

Buffalo, New York

Buffalo Central Terminal, a defunct train station, will soon have a new life as a cultural and economic hub.

Quinn Evans part of the team for the second phase of the multi-building complex’s revitalization. Much like Michigan Central Station, Buffalo Central Terminal originally opened in 1929, was vacated by Amtrak in the 1970s, and sat largely empty for over 40 years. Based on the community’s vision for a mixed-use destination, we’re helping to stabilize the main terminal building and ready the grand passenger concourse for public events.

A previous construction phase entailed critical roof repairs; future phases will convert other buildings in the complex to new uses such as offices, housing, and light industry—all with the goal of contributing to the revival of Buffalo’s East Side.

This is a generational investment. Reviving our living landmark proves that we can triumph over adversity.
