Start making a difference
as a Quinntern

Are you looking for a dynamic summer internship with a collaborative and diverse team? Quinn Evans’ interns work alongside our experienced staff to tackle cross-disciplinary challenges on real-world projects. In addition to furthering our award-winning portfolio, you’ll develop a portfolio piece of your own: a diagram that distills your deep-dive research into one of our ongoing projects in an accessible and compelling graphic format.

A series of curated events throughout the summer gives our “Quinnterns” a behind-the-scenes look at a wide range of topics within our high-performing design practice (the stuff they don’t teach you in school!). Events include visits to active and completed project sites; lunches with recent graduates on our staff; a presentation from our marketing team about how design firms win work; and a chat with our president, Alyson Steele.

Application review for Summer 2024 internships will begin in February and conclude in May. You are free to apply ahead of this timeframe.

BUILDING PERFORMANCE

Architecture & Interior Design

Our open summer positions include architectural internships in each of our offices; interior design internships in our Richmond, Ann Arbor, and Detroit offices; and a landscape architecture internship in our Richmond office.

Cultural Landscapes

We’re looking for a landscape architecture intern interested in Cultural Landscapes in our Washington, DC office to help our planning preservation team navigate the intersection of the preservation of unique sites and inclusive community design. Past projects include Iowa Blood Run and Indian Mounds

Quinn Evan’s Quinntern program was a great experience for me. My design thoughts and opinions were taken into real consideration. I was able to do meaningful tasks and connect with others in the office. I felt like a member of the team, not just an intern.

Building Performance

We’re seeking a student who is passionate about design and sustainability for our Building Performance internship. The successful candidate will report directly to our Director of Sustainability and will support firmwide sustainability and building performance initiatives, such as providing embodied carbon analysis and calculations or supporting post-occupancy evaluation initiatives.

Are you ready to help us connect people with place for lasting impact?
