Quinn Evans senior associate Allison Leighton, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, LFA, is featured in a video from Henrico Career & Technical Education, highlighting our work at the ACE Center at Hermitage.
In the video, filmed during a visit by the Association for Learning Environments, Allison shares how the ACE Center at Hermitage provides students with hands-on, real-world learning opportunities that translate directly into future careers. From students helping build out new learning spaces on the second floor to working at events by providing food through their culinary students or covering an event with their media team, students are actively involved.
As architects, we are re-envisioning spaces for career and technical education (CTE) by helping innovative CTE programs further their goals through flexible learning environments that support collaboration, industry partnerships, and student wellness. We believe education spaces should support practical learning and help students develop skills for future careers through authentic experiences that prepare students for the modern workforce.
