Allison Leighton, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, LFA, a senior associate and project manager in our Richmond, Virginia, office, was interviewed on the Henrico CTE Now podcast. Produced by Henrico County Public Schools’ Department of Workforce & Career Development, the program invites industry professionals to talk about the impact of career and technical education (CTE) in their lives and give advice to students who want to follow in their footsteps.
In addition to sharing her path to becoming a licensed architect and leader at Quinn Evans, Allison discussed our designs for the new Advanced Career Education (ACE) Centers at Hermitage and Highland Springs, including our consolidation of shop spaces for the construction trades programs so students can practice collaborating across disciplines. She also noted that students are currently working to build out the second-floor interior at the Hermitage ACE Center according to our drawings, giving them real-world construction experience.
