Quinn Evans congratulates Melody King, CPA, CGMA, on her retirement after 15 years with the firm.
Melody joined Richmond, Virginia’s Bond Comet Westmoreland and Hiner (BCWH) as controller in 2011; the firm merged with Quinn Evans in 2018. Melody continued to serve as the accountant for our Richmond office, and in 2023 she became Quinn Evans’ controller.
Of all the Quinn Evans projects she’s supported over the years, Melody’s favorites are the three libraries the firm designed for Henrico County Public Library—Libbie Mill Library, Varina Library, and Fairfield Library—because of each library’s unique design response to its community context.
Melody's contributions to the Richmond office and the accounting team have been essential in guiding Quinn Evans' financial operations and have helped position the firm for continued success. We wish her all the best in her retirement!
RITA LACHANCE | QUINN EVANS CFO
Melody holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant. She has long been active in the Richmond chapter of the Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance and has held multiple board positions; she currently serves as the chapter treasurer. In retirement, Melody looks forward to spending more time in her garden, and particularly to tending her prized Hanover tomatoes (which her colleagues will sorely miss!).
