
Building Design+Construction (BD+C) magazine featured Quinn Evans’ research on school design and student belonging in its roundup of compelling innovations from the nation’s largest architecture firms.
More than 200 firms participated in the 2026 Architecture Giants 400 survey, and 123 provided details on their latest innovations and technology enhancements. From those submissions, BD+C selected a few of the most notable advancements in AI tools, automation initiatives, and research-informed design
Quinn Evans was recognized for a first-of-its-kind study, “Built for Belonging,” conducted in partnership with the University of Michigan, that shows how school design impacts students’ feelings of belonging. The research offers practical interventions for existing schools and new insights that can inform school design and policy efforts aimed at addressing loneliness and improving youth belonging.
