Kiruthika Balasubramanian, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, has been selected for the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA’s) 2025-2026 Next to Lead cohort. The ten-month program, which accepts no more than 18 applicants nationwide per cycle, aims to prepare racially and ethnically diverse women to serve in AIA chapter leadership positions.
As a program participant, Kiruthika will receive specialized training from expert speakers on topics such as leadership skills, association dynamics, and issues impacting women in the workplace and the architectural profession. She will also attend AIA26 and the Women’s Leadership Summit with her cohort.
Kiruthika is an architect in Quinn Evans’ Washington, DC, office. She holds a Master of Architecture from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Architecture from Anna University. Since joining Quinn Evans in 2016, Kiruthika has primarily contributed to our modernization of the National Air and Space Museum, the second phase of which recently reopened to the public.
