Saakshi Terway, Associate AIA, LEED Green Associate, has been selected to serve as the 2026 Associate Director to the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Board of Directors. In her role, she will bring her essential expertise and represent the AIA's associate members in shaping policy and strategic direction for the profession.

I am honored to serve as the 2026 Associate Director to the AIA Board, representing the National Associates Committee and Associate members across the country. Throughout my post-graduate and professional journey, the power of community has shaped how I learn, lead, and practice architecture. A heartfelt thank you to the NAC, my mentors, and to Quinn Evans for their unwavering support of my leadership and service.

Terway is a designer at Quinn Evans with a strong record of leadership and professional involvement. She has served in a variety of roles within the American Institute of Architects, supporting initiatives that elevate emerging professionals and broaden access within the profession. She is also a co-author of Prospering in the U.S.: A Handbook for Immigrant Architects, published by the Immigrant Architects Coalition. Most recently, she was recognized with the Louise Blanchard Bethune Fellowship for her service as Associate Representative to the AIA Strategic Council in 2025.
