Quinn Evans senior associate, Chris Harrison, AIA, and interior designer, Ashley Taliaferro, NCIDQ, were featured in an article by the Suffolk News-Herald sharing insights on the ongoing work of the new 37,000-square-foot Suffolk Central Library in Virginia.

In the article, Chris explains that the two-story library “provides opportunities for learning, wellness, creativity, and exploration.” The first level features interactive play areas for children, a dedicated space for teens, a maker space, a media wall, and multifunctional areas that open into an outdoor breakout space. On the second level, visitors will discover a collaborative and inviting "living room" area, a digital lab, collections for adults, flexible study spaces, and plenty of natural light streaming in through skylights and large windows, which also provide views of the surrounding neighborhood.

One of the reasons we enjoy working on libraries is the positive impact these buildings have on their communities. We know this library has been coming for a long time, and we’re excited to be part of it.
