A new report by BJH Advisors shows that Michigan Central, Ford’s 30-acre innovation campus in Detroit, has created $5.2 billion in economic impact since 2018.

The centerpiece of the campus is Michigan Central Station, a former train station that sat vacant for 30 years before Ford acquired it. Collaborating closely with Ford, Quinn Evans led a multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers, historians, and conservation specialists to rehabilitate the monumental structure. Today the Station houses a dynamic mix of cutting-edge office, retail, and public space; a hotel, restaurant, and bar are scheduled to open in 2027.

BJH’s report shows that Michigan Central generated $2.95 billion of economic impact in 2025 alone and projects that figure will rise to $3.2 billion annually by 2028.
