Angela Wyrembelski, a senior architect for the station’s transformation, shares the challenges and joys of restoring a dilapidated 640,000-sf building.

Traditional Building, a resource for historic preservationists, has published a feature on Michigan Central Station. The piece is part of a series on projects that were honored by the publication’s 2025 Palladio Awards program; in it, Quinn Evans’ Angela Wyrembelski, AIA, APT RP, a senior architect for the station’s transformation, shares the challenges and joys of restoring a dilapidated 640,000-sf building.
