Quinn Evans has promoted Allison Leighton, Allison McElheny, Charles Sparkman, and MJ Wojewodzki to associate principal.

Quinn Evans has promoted Allison Leighton, Allison McElheny, Charles Sparkman, and MJ Wojewodzki to associate principal.

Allison Leighton, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, LFA, focuses on the design of learning environments, with particular expertise in green schools and design for career and technical education (CTE). She has been with Quinn Evans for 16 years; her recent projects include the ACE Centers at Hermitage and Highland Springs for Henrico County Public Schools, the Peake Childhood Center in Newport News, Virginia, and Cristo Rey Richmond High School in Richmond, Virginia. Allison has served on the board of the Henrico County Vocational and Technical Education Foundation since 2021, and previously served on the board of Richmond’s Storefront for Community Design and on the Green Schools Committee of USGBC Virginia. She holds a Master of Architecture from Tulane University and a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Design from the University of Virginia.

Allison McElheny, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, brings deep experience in renovation and adaptive reuse projects for cultural institutions, including several projects for the Baltimore Museum of Art: the Joseph Education Center, Nancy Dorman and Stanley Mazaroff Center for the Study of Prints, Drawings and Photographs, and Ruth R. Marder Center for Matisse Studies. She holds a Master of Architecture from the Parsons School of Design and has been with Quinn Evans for 20 years.

Charles Sparkman, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, combines analytical, data-driven methodology with sophisticated design strategies to create timeless, performance-based design. In his seven years with Quinn Evans, Charles has focused on managing the modernization and expansion of two historic federal buildings on the National Mall in Washington, DC, as well as contributing to firm-wide efforts associated with building performance and enclosures. He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History & Visual Arts from Duke University.

MJ Wojewodzki, AIA, LFA, has been with Quinn Evans for 24 years. Her recent work has involved complex modernizations of historic buildings for institutional clients, including managing large teams and sensitively integrating contemporary materials. For the last six years, MJ has played a key role in the renovation and expansion of two federal buildings on the National Mall in Washington, DC. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Notre Dame.
